Author: It has come to my attention by a trusted program owner that StrictPay has closed their doors and taken all of the members’ funds on deposit in their accounts. There was no explanation for their decision and subsequent actions. The closure of StrictPay has absolutely no bearing on our program, but you need to know that you must be exceedingly careful when selecting a payment processor.
AlertPay is now changing their policies and imposing restrictions of program owners. This is not a healthy development and I have made a decision to no longer use AlertPay unless it happens to be the only payment processor used by a program.
It is my sincere recommendation that you no longer keep your funds in any payment processor. It is better and safer to use the service and maintain a zero account balance. You can deposit, transfer, and withdraw funds on an ‘as-needed’ basis from now on.
This is an important issue. Our program now has SolidTrustPay and PayItGlobal as proven payment processors. My preference is PayItGlobal, because I know the owner personally. I have spoken with the owner of STP on the phone and in emails, but I can offer no more confidence other than their presence on the Net is established and they have my trust at this time. However, if you have to choose between the two, then PayItGlobal is the PP of choice.
I have lost funds before to StormPay and others who didn’t have a solid business model or cash reserves. It leaves an indelible impression when you think that your funds are secure and then login to your account only to see a message that they are no longer in business. Your heart sinks…
We work hard for our money and there’s no point in letting a payment processor abscond with our funds. I want to emphasize how fortunate we are to have PayItGlobal to use for our program.
